This structural print is designed for a specific vertical orientation for the best surface texture and layer adhesion. No sealing or hollowing is required.

FDM/Filament Settings (Recommended for Structure & Size)

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS. PETG or ABS/ASA are recommended for high-humidity vivarium environments for long-term durability.

  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm.

  • Infill Density: 10-15%. Sufficient for a strong, structural hideout.

  • Wall/Perimeter Count: 3. Ensures structural integrity.

  • Orientation (CRITICAL): Print the model vertically as designed. No supports required.

SLA/Resin Settings (Recommended for Detail)

  • Material: Standard UV Resin (Brown or Dark Grey).

  • Layer Height: 0.05 mm or finer.

  • Orientation (CRITICAL): Print vertically as designed. No supports required.

  • Preparation: No hollowing or drainage holes needed.

Important: Always thoroughly clean your final print before placing it in a viarium. Avoid using metal-filled or abrasive filaments. For long-term use, ensure your chosen material is chemically stable in water.

Cleaning (CRITICAL)

Before introducing the hideout to your terrarium, wash it thoroughly with hot, non-soapy water. This removes any release agents (Resin) or printing oils/dust (FDM) that could harm the inhabitants. A final thorough rinse is mandatory.
