Winter Wonderland Block Terrain Decor

Bring a dynamic, voxel-inspired landscape to your habitat with the Winter Wonderland Block Terrain Decor! This Minecraft-inspired terrain features a modular blocky cliffside complete with tiny houses, snowy roofs, and pine trees. Designed specifically for thermochromic “color-shift” filaments, this terrain appears as a cold grey mountain that “melts” into a snowy white wonderland as your habitat heaters or lights warm the material.

This kit includes both solid and pre-hollowed versions to suit your printing preference. Unlike our other terrains, this model does not require paint, but it does require Max Strength Construction Adhesive to attach the modular trees and buildings to the main block structure.

⚙️ Recommended Print Settings

This is a large, complex print requiring careful preparation and specific support placement for a high-quality result.

FDM/Filament Settings (Recommended for Structure & Size)

Material: PETG or ABS/ASA is strongly recommended for structural integrity and resilience in high-humidity/vivarium environments.
Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
Infill Density: 0%. Hollow this model out.
Supports (CRITICAL): Supports are REQUIRED for significant overhangs and interior ledges, especially within the castle portions.

SLA/Resin Settings (Recommended for Detail)

Material: Standard UV Resin (Grey or Stone color recommended).
Layer Height: 0.05 mm or finer.
Orientation (CRITICAL): Print this model flat.
Supports (CRITICAL): Supports are REQUIRED for the entire structure.

Important: This print requires significant slicer preparation before printing.

Assembly & Installation

🛠️ Preparation & Post-Processing Steps

This product requires multiple mandatory preparation steps in the slicer, assembly with a pump, and a mandatory painting process.

Slicer Preparation (Resin & FDM)

To ensure material efficiency and print success, you must use your slicer software to:

Hollow: Hollow the entire model.
Delete Bottom: MANDATORY FOR RESIN/FDM EFFICIENCY. Delete the flat bottom surface of the model (using a plane cut or other slicer tool) to reduce resin usage and print time.
Add Drainage/Water Holes: Add drainage holes to the top surface of the model (for easy removal of uncured resin) and to allow water to enter the final structure if desired for ballasting.
Supports: Add supports throughout the interior and exterior to ensure all overhangs print correctly.

Sealing Drainage Holes (Resin Only)

After washing and initial curing, the top drainage holes MUST be sealed to complete the model. Use a small dab of liquid UV resin and cure it instantly with a UV light/pen.

📦 Required External Tools

The following materials are required to complete the functional connection system and are not included with the STL files.

ABS Color Changing Filament: Required for the color-changing terrain.
Super Glue: Required to assemble houses and trees.
