Bantam V2 Vented Mid-Lid MINI

Achieve custom stacking height and maximum versatility with the Vented Mid Lid for Bantamarium V2 MINI Tanks. This unique modular component is designed to be stacked between two Bantamarium V2 MINI Tanks to add vertical height, extra side ports, and increased ventilation slots.

Ideal for arboreal species that need vertical space and controlled air exchange. Due to the deep side ports and recessed features, supports are required for successful printing. This Mid Lid is compatible with all Bantam V2 MINI tanks.

Recommended Settings

⚙️ Recommended Print Settings

Dimensional accuracy is critical for these connectors to prevent leaks. Water-safe materials are mandatory.

FDM/Filament Settings (Recommended for Structure & Size)

  • Material: PETG or ABS/ASA are highly recommended due to the water contact and need for durability.

  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm or 0.16 mm. Use a finer layer height for better threading/fitting surfaces.

  • Infill Density: 20-30%. Necessary for structural integrity under hose pressure.

  • Wall/Perimeter Count: 4. Crucial for strength and preventing porosity.

  • Supports (CRITICAL): Supports are NOT REQUIRED.

SLA/Resin Settings (Recommended for Detail)

  • Material: ABS-Like UV Resin (ensure it’s structurally sound).

  • Layer Height: 0.05 mm or finer.

  • Supports: SUPPORTS ARE REQUIRED for the port and liquid feeder sponge slots.

  • Calibration: Ensure your resin printer is calibrated for minimal dimensional shrinkage.

Important: Dimensional calibration is essential! We recommend printing a test piece before batch printing to ensure everything fits tightly.

Assembly & Installation

🛠️ Preparation & Post-Processing Steps

These parts require proper cleaning and careful assembly to prevent leaks.

Slicer Preparation

  • Supports: SUPPORTS ARE REQUIRED for all recessed slots and ports. Remove them carefully post-print.

  • Hollowing: Not required. Print solid.

  • Assembly: NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED for the main lid.

Optional Assembly (Sponge/Feeder)

  1. Sponge Insertion: Press the liquid feeder sponge (not included) firmly into its designated slot.

  2. Optional Glue: For permanent placement, use a small drop of aquarium-safe glue (cyanoacrylate) to secure the sponge/feeder in the recess. Do not use glue if you intend to remove the sponge for cleaning or replacement.

Cleaning (CRITICAL)

Before placing these components into your habitat’s water system, wash them thoroughly with hot, non-soapy water. A final thorough rinse is mandatory.
