⚙️ Recommended Print Settings
This is a two-part print. Focus on sealing the Lily Pad base for guaranteed buoyancy.
SLA/Resin Settings (Pad Sealing Focus)
-
Pad Material: Standard UV Resin (Green recommended).
-
Layer Height: 0.05 mm or finer.
-
Pad Orientation (CRITICAL): Print flat on the pad’s bottom as designed.
-
Pad Preparation (MANDATORY): Requires the user to perform hollowing and drainage hole addition before slicing. No supports required for the Lily Pad base.
-
Flower Note: Print the Lotus Flower solid (no hollowing) for stability. If printing vertically for better detail, minimal supports may be required, depending on your machine.
FDM/Filament Settings (Alternative for Larger Scales)
-
Pad Material: PETG or PLA (Green filament recommended). PETG offers better long-term water resistance.
-
Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
-
Infill Density: 0% or 5% (Gaps only) for the Pad; 10-15% for the Flower.
-
Wall/Perimeter Count (Pad): 2 or 3. Note: This low count requires fine-tuning to ensure a fully watertight seal.
-
Orientation (CRITICAL): Print both parts flat to ensure a perfectly sealed bottom layer for the pad. No supports are required.
Important: Always thoroughly clean your final print before placing it in an aquarium. Avoid using metal-filled or abrasive filaments. For long-term use, ensure your chosen material is chemically stable in water.
